Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.
Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and faced interruptions to water systems, according to municipal leaders.
At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.
Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and applying restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.
Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.
Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.
A series of attacks hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.
Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.
Local officials said the city experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and three other people were injured.
The attacks come after nights of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which are occupied by invading troops.
The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.
